Buy ferrets . They make wonderful pets! They are curious, inquisitive, and very social creatures. They can be silly at times, but they are almost always active and would love for you to play with them every day. When they’re not sleeping 14 to 18 hours a day, they’ll be busy doing one thing or another: running around and exploring their surroundings or simply playing with you or other ferrets. With proper care, they can live for 7 to 10 years.

These pets can also be a bit vocal to communicate with you through growls, squeaks, sniffs, or grunts. They may even hop up and down, move sideways, and click to let you know they’re ready to play! Like cats, ferrets sleep most of the day but are more active in the evenings and early mornings.

Ferret nutrition

Animals in this category require some experience with small animals and a vigilant eye on their health. Feeding them unsuitable items can severely impact their health. Try feeding them Marshall Ferret Diets. Water is best provided from a hanging water bottle and should be changed and/or refilled daily to keep it fresh. Food is best offered in a heavy, sturdy bowl that isn’t easily tipped over.

Habitat for ferrets

Housing these animals doesn’t have to be complex or complicated, but it does need to be spacious and tiered to allow them to climb and jump. They are active and curious animals who enjoy exploring unfamiliar places, whether it’s a new hiding place or the inside of your sofa.

They should be provided with a generous layer of bedding material, as well as a large hiding place for sleeping and some cage furniture for romping. Once a week, the cage should be emptied and washed with hot soapy water, thoroughly rinsed and dried, and then refilled with bedding. The cage should also be spot-cleaned daily and placed in a well-ventilated area, but away from drafts or direct sunlight.
